How do I get a presentation from my iPad to my Mac?

This lesson will show you how to get a Keynote presentation that you have created on your iPad onto your Mac.

Select iPad in iTunes

Select_ipad_in_itunes

Connect your iPad to your Mac and select it from the Devices list on the left.

Select Apps

Select_apps

Select the Apps tab.

Scroll to Bottom

Scroll_to_bottom

Scroll to the bottom of the page to the File Sharing section. Here you should see any iWork apps or other apps that you have installed that can read files from your Mac.

Select Keynote

Select_keynote

Select Keynote (1) from the left. You will see a list of presentations (2) that fall into two groups:

1. Presentations you added from your Mac.
2. Presentations you created on your iPad and have exported.

IMPORTANT: This list will not contain all of the presentations that are on your iPad. If you have not exported the presentation from within Keynote for iPad then that presentation will not be displayed in the list.

Select Presentation and Save to...

Select_presentation_and_save_to...

Select Folder and Open

Select_folder_and_open

Select the folder where you want to save the presentation and then select Open.

Open Your Presentation

Open_your_presentation

You can now open your presentation in Keynote for Mac.
