How do I set up Gmail on my iPad?
This lesson will show you how to set up Mail on your iPad with Gmail using IMAP.
If you want to set up a Gmail account that uses POP or have emails you send be from an address other than your Gmail address then follow these instructions.
Open Settings
From your home screen, open the Settings application.
Add Account
Tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendars (1) then tap on Add Account... (2).
Tap on "Gmail"
Enter Account Information
Enter the information for this account. The Address and Password are your Gmail address and password.
When you have finished entering your information tap on Save.
The Result
Your account will now be available in Mail.

Is it compulsory to put the same input for "Address" and for "Description" as what was shown above to enable the verification for access?
@ernl I don't believe so. I am pretty sure the description can be whatever you would like it to be.
